Programming Contest

In the programming contest format, teams of three students are given a set of programming problems to solve in a five-hour period using a single computer shared among them. The winning team is the one who solves the most problems; ties are broken by looking at the total time spent on the problems that the team solved.

Mid-Central USA Regional ACM Collegiate Programming Contest

Hendrix regularly participates in the ACM contest for the Mid-South region, which occurs late each fall. The region includes Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee.

(The AR column represents Hendrix's ranking among the teams originating from Arkansas schools. The ACS column represents Hendrix's ranking among teams from the Associated Colleges of the South, a group of liberal arts colleges; the other ACS schools in the Mid-Central region are Centre, Rhodes, and Sewanee; Sewanee does not usually participate.)
