Mathematica is a software package for manipulating
and visualizing mathematical concepts. Many Hendrix mathematics
classes use it, starting with the calculus sequence
and going through our most advanced courses.
Mathematica is installed for student use on all
computers in the MCReynolds 314 laboratory. Any Hendrix student
is welcome to use this laboratory. Students are welcome to purchase
discounted licenses through
Wolfram's
Web store.
Ways to get started:
- Watch the
Hands-On Start to Mathematica
tutorial screencast.
- Explore the Learning
Center for topics relevant to your interests.
- Launch Mathematica, open the Classroom Assistant, and perform
your first few computations.
We also have Mathematica installed in
the MCReynolds classrooms 110, 315, and 317. In each of these,
the lecturer computer with a projection system has
Mathematica available.
