In August 2008, Hendrix's Odyssey program sponsored two teams of
students to work full-time on designing and developing small games
that people can use within their Web browsers using Flash. Both teams
were successful in completing a viable game during their time.
During the three-week period, the students worked full-time in the
department facilities. The Odyssey program funded several lunches
and afternoon refreshments, and it provided a stipend to cover
students' living expenses. The program was proposed and organized
by Dr. Burch.
