2006 ACM regionals
Hendrix College sent two teams to Arkansas Tech University in
Russellville, Arkansas, to compete in the Mid-Central Regional ACM
Programming Contest on November 4, 2006, to compete against 124
other teams in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and
Tennessee. Each team of three students shared one computer
as they worked to solve as many of the given programming problems
as possible within a five-hour time frame.
- The ``Hendrix Squirrels'' team - Colby Christopher, Daniel Levy,
and Thomas Przybylinski - completed 6 of the 7 problems, scoring
1st among the 14 Arkansas teams and 4th among the 123 teams in the
five-state region.
- The ``Hendrix: Les Enfants Terribles'' team - Ian Hill, Henry
Phillips, and Eric Robbins - also completed 6 problems, though somewhat
more slowly than the Squirrels. They placed 4th in Arkansas and 11th in
the region.
