• Each program must contain at least one while loop that implements true indefinite iteration. In other words, it can't just simulate a for loop.
• At least one of the programs must generate random numbers.
• Each program should fulfill a useful, contextualized purpose.
• If you would like to employ a Python concept that we have not yet covered in class, you are welcome to do so.
• Submit each program as a separate *.py file, via Moodle.
• The project is due on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:55 pm.

Here are some examples of project ideas. You are welcome to use any of these. Feel free to expand (or simplify) any of these suggestions; alternatively, you are greatly encouraged to pursue your own project ideas. In any event, make sure your submissions fulfill to the above requirements.

• Write a number-guessing program. It is, in effect, the inverse of the number-guessing program on page 195 of the textbook. The user thinks of a number, and the computer must guess it. Here's an example of a session:

  Pick a number, any positive number.  I will guess it.
  After each guess, type 'up' if your number is above it,
  'down' if your number is below it, or 'done' if it is
  your number.
  
  My guess is 1
  Should I go up, down, or am I done?up
  My guess is 2
  Should I go up, down, or am I done?up
  My guess is 4
  Should I go up, down, or am I done?up
  My guess is 8

• Consider the following variation on the math-tutor program (6.34). Instead of presenting a pre-determined number of problems, the program could be modified to continue to present problems until a certain number are answered correctly. In addition to randomly generating the values for the problem, it would also randomly select the arithmetic operator. Here is an example of how such a program might work:

  9 + 5 = 14
  Correct!
  5 - 2 = 13
  Incorrect; answer is 3
  0 + 6 = 7
  Incorrect; answer is 6
  5 + 7 = 8

• Write a program that moves a turtle randomly. It will continue to run until the turtle moves off the screen. Here is a screenshot of what my implementation did on one run. Note that in my version, the turtle chose one of the four cardinal directions for a turn in addition to a random distance on every loop iteration. You may configure yours in any way you like.
