Hi,

Many have asked, and nothing has been sent out to update her condition since late November here at the college, so I thought I would let you know what is going on in Mallory?s world (and in our world).

January 18-Coded after having an Upper GI to determine why reflux is so bad; revived with bagging and chest compressions

January 23 (tomorrow)?Surgery #6?Nissen fundoplication (to stop food from refluxing up her esophagus, and stop her from throwing up) and a Gastric button so that she can be fed by a tube into her stomach instead of being fed through her nose

January 25, this Friday, she will be 4 months old

As you can see, she has been through more than any little person should have to go through. I thoroughly appreciate those of you who take the time to read her carepages, about 30 on campus and I can see a list of who is enrolled and views it, so THANK you for that and for your prayers. If you want to join and read her carepages, here is that address again:

Then, ask to view the page: mhpage

Today makes three months she has been in the Heart Center at Children?s THIS stay?92 days. They are hoping that the surgeries tomorrow will get her where she can come home in a couple of weeks. She still hovers around 9 pounds and will be four months old this Friday. It has been a long road for all of us, and I appreciate your patience, as I try to be here at work most every day (I have pretty much used my sick days up), and try to carry on without being too emotional over how life is right now.

Please pray for Mallory, and for all of us to continue to have the stamina and peace to go on. Thank those of you who have contributed to our family, as Mandi has been without income for 7 weeks now, she?s on Family Leave and Medical Act right now. Please know that anything that is donated at Regions Bank, we have no way to know who gives, as they will not give us a list of names, even, saying it violates the privacy act. So all I can say is thank you, right here, for your prayers and for everything else.

We are hanging in there, mostly because of the prayers of many.

Karen
