John is hungry and wants to make some spaghetti. He takes out a pot and fills it with water. He puts it on a burner, and turns a dial to heat the burner on maximum. After waiting a few minutes, the water is boiling. He takes out some spaghetti and drops it into the water. After the water returns to a boil, he lowers the heat a bit. He sets a timer. Occasionally, he stirs the pot. When the timer goes off, he dumps the spaghetti into a colander. He then puts it on a plate and eats it.
